Mr. Schmitz has served as the Vice President of B 29 Investments since he and his brother John Schmitz originally founded the Texas limited partnership. Currently, Mr. Schmitz's primary focus is to manage the real estate development companies, the brokerage and property management teams, and the property tax and appraisal functions under the B 29 umbrella. He is currently a Senior Executive of Mesa Real Estate Partners, LP, a private equity fund targeting yard and office infrastructure in the emerging shale plays throughout the contiguous United States. Mr Schmitz also serves on the Investment Committee of Mesa. Mr. Schmitz also plays a large advisory role to Mages Group, LLC, a general contractor and development services firm that focuses on industrial and commercial projects in the emerging shale plays. Mr. Schmitz has previously served on the Board of Directors of SES Holdings, LLC (a rapidly-growing, privately-held oilfield service company focused on the emerging shale plays in the contiguous United States) and Allied Production Services, Inc. (a manufacturer of surface tank equipment for oil and natural gas producers that is now a subsidiary of Forum Energy Technologies, Inc). Mr. Schmitz holds a Bachelors of Science degree from Texas A&M University in Political Science.
